Half Naked Women

“Championship” wrestling doesn’t even try anymore. I’m listening to X103, and there’s an ad on for some third rate professional wrestling event in Indy, featuring the Legendary Some Guy You’ve Never Heard Of and Half Naked Women. Seriously. They said “And half naked women!”. Is it just me, or is that “professional” wrestling admitting to that fact that it is pandering to the lowest common denominator and staged?

I just can’t stand professional wrestling. It’s the only “pro” sport where the at the professional level it is nothing like the amateur level. Look at your typical high school or college wrestling match. Nothing like a pro wrestling match huh? My fear is that kids, who are in love with the stupidity of pro wrestling, will move up through life and then want high school ad college wrestling to be like pro. I hope that never happens. I’m not a wrestling fan (not even amateur – not my thang) but I just think that would be very frightening.

Anyway, the NCAA Championship Basketball game is tonight – Michigan State vs. Florida. Michigan will have their hands full, but It’ll be too much Mateen and Mo Pete for the Gators. (Like my sportscaster talk? LOL)

Anyway, I’ve been talking to someone in NYC on-line. Met her on a personal ad site. She’s unbelievably cool and great to talk to. If only I lived in NYC I’d make a move. It’s cool though, ’cause we both get the same cool vibe, and have agreed that if we ever end up in the same place to look the other up.

Hmmm.. looks like this is going to be a short one. I’ve gotta get going. I’m going to go to Broadripple to watch the game tonight at Average Joe’s. $2 Guinness here I come!! :)

Mmmmmm.. beeeerrr

[editor's note: from 11/30/1999 until 04/27/2000, my site was "Slumbering Angry", my very first blog. I found these files on an old CD I burnt back in 2000 and thought I would include them on this site for historical purposes. I was one moody bastard back then.]
