X-Tra Rant

Well, I’m off. I’m going to drive Kyleane to Illinois. SHe was back in town because she had a funeral to go to, and she needs a ride to meet up with her Drum Corps in Illinois somewhere. Her Mom was oging to but had to work, and her sister was going to but she was uneasy about her driving all the way home alone, so I volunteered. I want ot because I’ve missed driving my car and want to get out and drive it again. Yay!
Okay, bye. Gotta go.

I want to do some political ranting, but I’m too tired. Either tomorrow or Monday I’ll get together another batch of articles and stories to link to that’ll piss you off about Spanky The Wonder Prez and all the “wonderful” crap the Republican’ts are doing.

I went to the gym last night after work. Spent a bit over 2 hours there, and boy are my arms tired. Really. Yikes. Did upper body workout stuff and I am soooo damn out of shape. No wonder I can’t get a date. I’m about a in shape as a 2 day old baby. Oh well… I just gotta keep it up and hopefully fix that. Hopefully.

This is too damn funny.

I have alot of political ranting I want to get in to, but I’m too busy at work. Maybe later.

Well, FINALLY somepeople with some sense. The 9th Circuit Court came to a decision that a court somewhere should have long ago - the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance is basically saying that the government supports Christianity, and therefore it violates the separation of church & state. Unfortuantely, it will probably be overturned. Politicians everywhere are saying it’s a bad decision.

breaks your heart. Of course, all W can do is spout of stupid cliches and big ultimatums he’ll never back up and think it’s a “peace plan” while the media nods its head and goes along for the ride.

Well, either my parents haven’t notices or they’re being nice. I’m pretty sure my dad knows (he reads this site every once in awhile) and is just being polite because of a couple comments he made when we went out to dinner two weeks ago. My mom.. dunno… normally she’s VERY observant so I’d be surprised if she hasn’t noticed, but I’d be surprised if she noticed and didn’t say something. So I’m not really sure. I’m just glad there hasn’t been a fight about it. I am 24 years old after all.

…or at least a quivering moaning pile of worn out goo. I joined a gym Thursday. Went Saturday for my fitness assessment. I’m .5 points above “Needs Immediate Intervention”. I’m so bad, the bench pressing for the test left me sore. Went in yesterday for my cardio orientation and that wiped me out big time. Yeowch. I go in tonight for my upper body weight training orientation and tomorrow night for lower body weight training orientation. Then I get to watch a video they gave me on nutrition. Yay!

I hope this works. I need to get into shape so bad. I wanna be dead sexy. Unfortunately I’ll probably just end up dead. Hehe okay, not really. Still, I really hope this works. I better, for the money I’m spending on it. I woudl get a personal trainer deal going but that costs $60 - $70 per session!!! SO I’m jsut gonna have to go it alone and get on teh plan that the guy who signed me up recommends.

Yeah, so I’ll keep you posted on that. Here’s hoping it works. If not, it’s a colossal waste of money and time. It’s so much cheaper and easier to be fat and lazy.

Seems our “Missle Defense” that Bush & Co. keep harping that we need (although I don’t know why.. if we’re ever nuked, it’s not gonna be by a missle but by a nut with a suitcase) can’t tell the difference between a decoy baloon and a warhead. And the Pentagon wants to classify that and lie about it.

* Christians for Cannabis A great article on how some Christian groups are startign to question our current drug policy and its mistake of not showign a distinction between drug users and drug abusers.
* Government cencorship advocated by the Washington Post? Yup. Sure is.
* Bush a scholar referencing classic and modern literature in his speeches? According to Karl “Watch What You Say There’s A War On” Rove, yes. I don’t think so, and neither does Joe Conason and Maureen Dowd
* How dare a group of religious zealots try and push their view of God and the universe on a country that doesn’t want it! THink I’m talking abotu the Taliban? I’m not. I’m talking about Christians in the U.S.
* And how dare politicians use the “War” (cough cough bullshit cough cough) on Terra (as W would say) for political gain. Think I’m kidding? Try out Karl Rove’s (White House Press/Propoganda Minister) Power Point Presentation (take special note of slide #20).
* Bill Clinton (our last elected President) can still draw a crowd, and for good reason. The man is eloquence and competence as a leader embodied.
