X-Tra Rant

Hey there everybody. I’ve not been updating much for the past couple weeks for a few reasons. 1) Tried to upgrade my home computer to Windows XP. my DSL modem drivers don’t work with it. I need to wait on Ameritech to send me a new CD. 2) I’ve been off work since Dec. 20th, and I haven’t had much motivation to be on a computer at home lately. 3) I’ve been out with Amy alot, mostly just hanging out and talking and whatever.

I’ve just been really occupied by other things. Been spending a bunch of time with Amy, which has been super cool. It’s nice hanging out with someone that I just feel comfortable with, without the pressure to be someone else than I am, or without the pressure of stupid worries of mine. Don’t get me wrong, I still worry now and then, but honestly, not as much as usual. And when I do I just go back to something she said last - Sunday I think? - “I wouldn’t be here at 4am if I didn’t want to be.”. Every tiem I think back to that and how obvious it is and how silly it makes me seem for worrying abotu anything, I chuckle and kind of forget about my worry. Yay!

Sorry haven’t been updating much lately. Been pretty busy. Not that that’s a bad thing. I’ve been dating Amy (different amy than the one I’ve mentioned alot before. This will get confusing to talk about. So I’ll try to remember to type either Amy P. for the Amy I’ve known for awhile and am just friend with, and Amy R. for the Amy I am now dating.) alot latey. We’re having alot of fun, and the best part is it feels comfortable, which is something I haven’t really had in awhile. It feels really nice. I’m not sure how much more to say about it, so I’ll just leave it all at that for now. Yay.

Bush - labeling him “dim.” The Out Of Sight star is furious that Bush junior doesn’t exhibit any natural leadership skills. He says, “Let’s face it. Bush is just dim. The problem is we elected a manager, and we need a leader.” And Clooney doesn’t just reserve his venom for the President. He describes former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich as a “dinosaur,” adding, “The man has no arms.”

Awesome. I like when Clooney does cool stuff, like O’ Brother Where Art Thou. And now I like him even more. Kudos to George Clooney!!!

This documentary on Muhammed and Islam looks fascinating. I’m going to have try and watch it or record it or if my TV isn’t picking up PBS, maybe have my dad record it for me. It really reveals alot of the truth behind Islam and how what the terrorists liek Bin Laden say is Islam is actually in many many ways in violation of the Qur’an. The site for the documentary has alot of very fascinating parts to it. One of my favorite is the page that talks about Muhammed and the Qur’an’s views on other religions. It quotes the Qur’an:

Yes, you read that right. Go visit The Lords of the Rhymes. It’s Lord of the Rings rap, and it’s just about the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. They even rap in elvish for part of the song.

This is genius. Some artisans made a snowglobe with a white resin bust of John Ashcroft in it and swirling snow - white snow, of course - around him. And you wind it up and it plays “White Christmas”. How perfectly funny is that? Now if only the media would start exposing Ashcroft’s racism like it has been doing Trent Lott’s (although it took them a few days to start covering Lott’s remarks).

Anyway, I’m going to see The Two Towers tonight with my dad and my sister. I’m soo excited to see that. Yes, my name is Jason, and I am a geek.
