Not much to say really. I’ve just been working alot and struggling with testing some stuff at work. I’m all for anarchy so that I don’t need to haev a job anymore. It’s just that whole ‘lawless random rioting’ thing that could be a problem.
Hmmm well I’m taking tomorrow and friday off work so I can get stuff together for my move to my new apartment. That should be fun. Or not. I’ll try to get pictures of the new place up as soon as I can. But I need a new Compact FLash card reader, so it might be a bit.
well that’s all for now. I shall type at you all later sometime.
You all probably wondered what was up with that update Friday where I just linked to that weird flash thing that shouted “You are an idiot!!” over and over.
So guess who has a new friend? But only a friend. Of course, it’s not me it’s her.

Well it’s all comign out now. Know how your local news and newspapers and national news all said “Americans will get back an average of $1083!!! Hooray for Bush! We love Bush!!” Well ABC News decided to look at the numbers themselves. Here’s just one excerpt:

I’m in a REALLY poltiical mood today. My previosu post was into a separate political debate with my dad (not the SUV one, the tax breaks for the rich one).
And now I read this: Bush just appointed a guy named Jerry Thacker to the White House AIDS panel. Why is this a problem? Because Thacker calls AIDS the “gay plague”. Because he calls homosexuality a “deathstyle”. Because he equates homosexuality to beastiality and incest. He is an alum of Bob Jones University, the place that is the epitome of racism and insane religious bigotry. I’m straight, but I have friends and aquaintances who are either homosexual or bisexual. This is just insulting and hateful any way you slice it. And these are the types of people Bush hires to advise him and run things for him. (You know, like John Ashcroft and his judicial nominee Pickering among others).
ALso, for the upcomign State of The Union Address, read this and see how Bush tries to spin things positively or use things to push his right wing agenda. Where’s the compassionate conservative less than half the country voted for? Where’s the uniter that less than half the country voted for?
“Also, people making money in the higher brackets, employ those in the lower brackets. More money for them, means more jobs and money for the lower income.”
Thanks for playing the Let’s Rehash Failed Economic Policies of the Reagan Era Game!!! That’s the theory behind Supply Side Economics (or Trickle Down Economics as it is more commonly known). That has never, in the history of anything, actually worked. We studied this in my macroeconomics classes. Did the tax breaks that Bush gave to the rich in 2000 create any jobs? No, in fact, unemployment is still rising. Economies are driven by the demand side. By giving money to the supply side of the equation, an assumption is made that the suppliers will increase production/spending/etc. But this is an assumption that is rarely true.

Well, I’m in a political debate with my dad. Again. He posted about the Detroit Project on his site and being sarcastic, pretty much ripped on it. I was going to respond in his comments, but my response got too long for that. He said it’s ridiculous to try and squeeze more fuel efficiency out of the internal combustion engine (he’s big on Fuel Cell research). What follows is what I started writing as my response….

I’m still here, loyal reader(s?). Just been busy and preoccupied and trying not to update as much so I can catch up on the switch to Movable Type. It’s going slow. I have the archives put in up until the end of last February. Yeah. I still have a year to go and 2002 was my busiest year of updating ever. Yikes. This week sometime I may go ahead and switch to the MT version and update the archives as I have time. that way as I update more NOW I don’t put myself in a bigger hole. Stay tuned for that.

I’m trying to cut down on my volume of updates lately. Not because I’m bored with it, but because I’m still converting my old site over to Movable Type. It’s very tedious because I have to enter all my old entries in by hand (lots of cut and paste) and categorize them then fix the dates on them to post date them and all that crap. Kinda neat about it though, I’m cutting out some of the crap (like the “I’m just testign my script” entries) and I also foudn my old site from 1999 - early 2000 (called Slumbering Angry) and I’m going to include the entries from that as well. So you’ll see lotsa old Jason stuff better organized. Hopefully it’ll all be done in a week or so. I have something like 700 or more total entries! Yikes.
Anyway, so for my one update today, a give you a bunch of linkage again. I’ve been Super Link Man lately.

So you might or might not know that Bush’s approval numbers are down to 58% (far far below Clinton’s upper 60s approval even after he was impeached). Of course, you may be hearing it spun differently by the media. But the big number, the one that the media isn’t reporting is that Bush’s re-elect rating is down to 36%. THat’s the lowest re-elect number in 80 years, and 1% lower than Poppy Bush’s numbers when he was defeated by Clinton in ‘92. 32% will definitely vote for someone else, and 31% are undecided. Check out the full story!

I’m really tired. I have lots of work to do. But that doesn’t stop me from passing on the linkage to my faithful readers. Hooray for linkage!
