Carbon Dioxide Is Your Friend
See, all this global warming hype is much ado about nothing. We shouldn’t be worried about carbon dioxide gathering and causing a greenhouse effect because carbon dioxide is our friend. We breathe out carbon dioxide!!! See? No reason to worry!
And not only will we have more of our friend carbon dioxide, but global warming could actually be a good thing because of all the cool new crops we could grow! Wow! I’m going to start buying barrels of oil and burn them in my yard every day!
I tell ya, those guys from the Competitive Enterprise Institute (funded by ExxonMobil), they sure are glass half full guys.
(Ow. my head hurts.)
Oh, and I’m trying to organize a group of people to go see Al Gore’s movie An Inconvenient Truth when it comes out in Indy on June 16th. let me know if you are interersted and want to be put on the Google Calendar invite.

I’ve posted a full commentary about these CEI ads and the internet frenzy surrounding them at greenr.
If you look at it, there have been 4 cycles of cooling and warming of +/-5 degrees C over the past 450,000 years, and I’m betting there weren’t CO2 spewing humans to blame back then, so why should they be to blame now?
We are in the MIDDLE of a warming cycle, that still has +5 degrees C to go. Of course we are seeing global warming.
See my site for the full details.

OKay, I really don’t have time for totally analyzing your post but I see this:
“CO2 could possibly be adding to the 15,000 year period of global warming that we are currently in. But it is obviously not the main cause. With or without CO2, we are going to experience warming.”
Just because we *possibly* aren’t the main cause, does that mean we shouldn’t do anything about the portion of it we are causing? Does that mean the scientific evidence that our pollution has had an effect on the global environment should be thrown out or ignored? Does that mean a blanket oversimplification of “CO2 is good for you” from Big Oil isn’t laughable?
Just because we may not be the main cause of global warming doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do everything we can to mitigate our influence on it.
