Dear Senator Bayh,
Can we talk? I know you really, really want to be president. Like, realllllllly want to. That’s why you’ve got over $10 mil cash on hand through September. Good for you. You can use that to try to be the Non-Hillary-Centrist-For-Centrism’s-Sake candidate. Primary voters are going to love that considering how well that strategy has worked the past 8 years.
But maybe you should pony up more than just $100,000 in new donations to help us take back the Senate.
I want to see you cut a $1 million check for the DSCC. That would go further than almost anything you could do in gaining attention of activist Democrats and showign that you aren’t just in it for your own dreams of power but that you are dedicated to truly building a Democratic Majority.

As an aside, you hear that buzzing noise? That’s the sound of Evan Bayh’s presidential hopes deflating now that Obama might throw in his hat. Though even without Obama, I think Bayh’s about as close to the Presidency as s&%t is to ice cream.
