Soundtrack to the movie of my life

okay so it’s a meme filler but it’s interesting. I’ve seen this around but can’t remember all where.

here’s how it works:

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc.)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don’t lie

opening credits: Meeting The Remarkable Men – Harvey Danger
- Oh. Very upbeat and fun. Love it.

waking up: Neon Golden – The Notwist
- Hm. I think this could work.

first day of high school: Tomorrow Comes Today – Gorillaz
- Hmmm wierd… but.. maybe?

falling in love: Skeleton Key – Margot & The Nuclear So and So’s
- Oh this one is perfect. Perfect!

fight song: Old Skool Master – Johnny Socko
- Hahahaha AWESOME. I would totally shoot this fight scene in a 70’s kung-fu exploitation style.

breaking up: Taken for a Ride – Tally Hall
- Sorta works. Yeah. it’s just orchestral-sounding enough to pull it off. The words work pretty well too.

prom: Van Helsing Boom Box – Man Man
- Damn that would be one WEIRD prom.

life: Power Trip – Monster Magnet
- ROOOOOCCCCKKKK!!!!!! \m/

mental breakdown: Boys Don’t Cry – The Cure
- heheheheh oh shit. Too good. Can’t. Make. This. Shit. Up.

driving: The Union Forever – The White Stripes
- hm, maybe if the driving was filmed in some sort of 60’s psychedelic wierdness. Maybe.

flashback: Summerbreeze – Emiliana Torrini
- Only if the flashback was to a love lost or something.

getting back together: Lebanese Blonde – Thievery Corporation
- Hm. Ummm. Maybe? It’s slow and mellow enough it could work for a love scene ;)

wedding: A Silhouette Of Doom – Ennio Morricone
- Well THAT’S not a good sign.

birth of child: Abortion In The Sky – Eels
- Okay, I’ll admit I cheated on JUST THIS ONE. It was two spots down and I just HAD to.

final battle: So What – Miles Davis
- Well now that’d just be the coolest, smoothest fight ever. Right, daddy-o? Yeah. Not so much.

death song: Shiny Happy People – R.E.M.
- Oh now that isn’t very nice….

funeral song: Hard To Imagine – Pearl Jam
- One of my favorite slow songs by Pearl Jam.

end credits: Hjartað hamast – Sigur Rós
- Sure, why not.

Hey thanks for explaining how this meme works. I’ve seen it go around before, and again in the past few days. I always wondered how I was supposed to pick from the thousands of songs I know, just which best suited “getting back together” in my life.

On your results: That could be a good sound track if you just replaced all the songs that are COMPLETELY inappropriate for the respective scenes. Unless it your movie was directed by Wes Anderson.
