Schellinger raises $2.4 million for governor’s race

From the IndyStar:

Democrat Jim Schellinger has raised $2.4 million in his gubernatorial bid since he got into the race in March, his campaign said Monday.

The exact amount is more than double the $1.2 million that Schellinger, a South Bend native and president of an Indianapolis architecture firm, reported raising as of the June 30 reporting period.

Big numbers. Still not close to Daniels’ rumored $4.1 million though, and no numbers have been released for Jill Long Thompson, the other Democrat in the race. This quote brought out a little snark in me though

Schellinger spokeswoman Candace Martin said support for his candidacy was reflected in this “strong fundraising report” and a growing list of endorsements.

Well, it reflects your support among the moneyed, high dollar power Democrats whom are pushing your candidacy. How this reflects actual broad support among Democrats, I don’t know.
